Introduction to HTML 5

What is HTML5?

HTML5 is the new standard for HTML, XHTML, the HTML DOM and the Future of Web.HTML 5 is using in modern browsers have some HTML5 supports.All available Browsers will continue to upgrade and incorporate more HTML5 Support in this future.

HTML5 History

World Wide Web Consortium(W3C) & the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group, In Co-operation came out the HTML5 ,WHATWG was working with web forms and applications, and W3C was working with XHTML 2.0.In 2006, they have decided to cooperate , create a new version of HTML for Web development language.

Some rules for HTML5 were established:

1. New features should be based on HTML, CSS, DOM, and JavaScript
2. Reduce the need for external plugins (like Flash)
3. Better error handling
4. HTML5 should be device independent
5. The development process should be visible to the public
6. More markup to replace scripting

In basic language they are trying to offer everything under one house,Reduce the need for external plugins (like Flash) where one should not use the same, as it would be nearly impossible to eliminate Flash and its Potential but one can at least the usage of the extra script required for Games, Audio & video by the new Canvas, Video, Audio element.

Latest version of Mozilla, Chrome, Safari and IE 9.0 has started supporting. Web developer can easily make and HTML5 page and start enjoying the Features of HTML5.
